The Birthday Present

Deep in a wooded valley lies Horse Hill Farm. A small bubbling stream flows past the old buildings, it’s banks lined with old willow trees. Above the sweet smelling flowers in the meadow birds sing and insects buzz. The old farm is usually peaceful but not today, the barn is abuzz with excitement.

It’s Teasel’s birthday!

She unwraps her birthday present and finds a lovely brooch inside. It’s the perfect gift! Later the poor little mouse is horrified when she realises that the brooch is missing. It’s nowhere to be found! Who could have taken her precious gift?
