About the Artist

Hello
...and thank you for visiting A World of Magic, Myth and Legend, and for sharing my fascination with the enchanting realm of magic, a place of such exciting and wondrous things.
I grew up in rural Dorset, where there was a wealth of local folklore and superstition. When I wasn’t absorbed in the tales told by my elderly neighbours and relatives, I could often be found exploring the countryside, climbing trees and wandering through hedgerows in search of hidden places where faeries might dwell.

Interest in my work has grown over the years, leading to the publication of my first illustrated book, Faeries and Folklore of the British Isles in 2006, which was shortlisted by a national newspaper for its Christmas highlights that year.
Faerie Flora (2011) is an illustrated book offering an insight into the faerie folklore surrounding our most familiar flowers and plants.
Mermaid Folklore (2022) explores the myths and stories that surround these fascinating and mysterious creatures.
I have also been fortunate to build a loyal readership for my paranormal novels, The Psychic Sisters series. Which have received many wonderful and generous reviews on Amazon, Goodreads and Bookbub.
Today, I live amongst the green rolling hills of the West Country with Kevin, my husband, along with our dogs and chickens.
When I am not painting or writing, I can usually be found outside, wandering through the garden, talking to my girls, or quietly looking for faeries at the bottom of the garden.
